Disclaimer: Mistakes are quite likely in the notes and no guarantees are made as to accuracy. There may be other versions of the same dance or other dances with the same name. Music may differ, particularly in speed, introduction and duration, between performers. The division into parts, bars & counts might not be standard. These notes of the dance are freely distributable (under GPL or CC-by-sa) in so much as the note's author's contribution but the choreography and/or collection were by other people and so their copyright might apply to the dance itself. Better than using notes, go to a dance class where it is taught by Cristina Casarini.

A light jolly dance that travels sideways with distinctive knee lifting steps and mirrors each part R & L. Consists of 2 verses (Parts A & C) & a chorus (Part B).

What I originally counted as a bar of 4 beats is actually, according to Cristina's English notes, 4 bars each of 2 beats. However I still find it easier to count in groups of 4 4s so I've written the following description counted that way.

It was originally choreographed as a coming onto stage dance for a professional performance group.

Style: Upright with emphasis on knee lifts in the steps. Light steps onto the balls of the feet. In the step-hops, the raised foot come, up to beside just below the knee of the other leg with the raised foot angled down about 60 deg. In the runs, the tip of moving foot does not actually come far off the floor, instead the knee is raised by angling the foot about 45 deg downwards. In the crossing sidesteps of Part B, the same method is used but augmented further by a dropping down of the centre of gravity by bending the knee of the rear leg as it takes the weight (rise again as front foot takes weight).

Summary: Replace end of last Part C2 with L side & R stamp close.

Replace the final two stamps with a lift stamp:-

2 Lift R foot up behind by flexing the knee with the upper leg remaining near vertically down and bringing it close to the L leg.
3 Stamp R close. The stamp is flat-footed with the foot coming down from behind by straightening the R knee.
