A simple traditional Greek dance with a jolly tune with a familiar Part B and a distinctive Part A. It also has the contrast of the Part B crossing the music & Part A fitting the music.

Style: Almost flat footed. Lively light bounce in Part B. Upright with marching like footwork in Part A.

Introduction

Summary: 3 bars.

Wait through a complete set (3 bars) of Part B music.

Part A

Summary: Step in place R, L, R. Pause. Brush & lift L. L close, R lift.

Start Facing centre of the circle. Weight on L foot.
1
1 R close with a marching-like step.
2 L in place likewise.
3 Repeat count 1 (R marching step in place).
4 Pause.
5 Brush L forwards. It brushes the floor with the foot flat.
6 Continue that L forward motion into a L lift infront. The L leg ends up with the knee bent and the foot horizontal slightly ahead of the knee so the lower leg about 15 deg from the vertical.
7 L close
8 R lift infront. The R foot is lifted with the heel turned in to the L about 30 deg, the foot about 20 cm above the ground and the heel infront of the L leg.

Part B

Summary: Pravo basic (R side, L across infront, lift L & R).

Start Facing centre of the circle. Weight on L foot.
1
1 R to the side.
2 L across infront.
3 R to the side.
4 L lift.
5 L to the side.
6 R lift. (Combined with the previous 5 counts, this forms a basic Pravo.)

It crosses the music, the music being in 8 count bars & Part A being only 6 counts long. However 4 of Part B matches the length of 3 bars of music so it syncs up again there. (The 4 repeats of Part 4 are from bar 1 count 1 to bar 1 count 6, bar 1 count 7 to bar 2 count 4, bar 2 count 5 to bar 3 count 2 and bar 3 count 3 to bar 3 count 8 but there is no need to count that, just do it crossing the music and when it syncs up again it is time to switch to Part A.)
