A very staccato macho dance with usual timing to macho male voice choir singing.

I don't know what the timing is in standard musical notation. Genci counted each verse 1 to 8 but with counts of different durations. To me it sounds like bars of 4 counts with a pause of about 1 count duration at the end of each so I've notated each verse as 2 sets of "1 & 2 & 3 & 4 & 5 &" where the final "5 &" is the pause. I've also written the staccato steps as being on the counts & followed by a pause on the "&" although that is probably not an exact description.

Genci taught it in both shoulder hold & in fortress hold and solo demonstrated it in W-hold. I think a firm strong W-hold is both the easiest & most effective looking of these.

Style: Strong stance & sharp motions (other than when specifically described as smooth). Intense & tensed. Firm arms. Slightly bent knees (other than when specifically standing fully upright), feet flat on the floor.

Introduction

Summary: 2 bars.

2 bars.

Part A

Summary: Jump R staccato, L across infront, jump R staccato, L lift across infront, pause x 2. Repeat counts 3-4& in mirror image, R in with L close lift, L back with R close lift staccato, pause x 2.

Start Strongly upright. Facing the centre of the circle. Feet slightly over shoulder width apart.
1
1 Staccato jump on to both feed with knees bent (this lowers the body about 20 cm) & feet turned out about 45 deg. The emphasis is on the drop in the jump landing not in the jump going up, indeed is technically more of a fall than a jump. Also it feels like a jump to the R foot but it is mainly just that the R foot moves to the side to accommodate the knee bending while the L foot remains almost in place.
& Pause.
2-2& L across infront. Knees straighten up. This is long stride, accomplished by temporarily turning the body 45 cw deg to face in the direction of travel. It is brisk but actually covers the full count rather than staccato.
3 Repeat count 1 (staccato jump to R onto both feet with knees bent) turning to face the centre of the circle again.
& Pause.
4-4& Lift L leg across infront high. Ends with upper leg nearly horizontal, knee bent 45 deg & foot perpendicular to lower leg. The supporting leg knee straightens to increase the lift.
5-5& Pause.
2
1-2& Repeat bar 1 counts 3-4& in mirror image (staccato jump to L with knees bent, pause, R lift across infront).
3 R forwards onto both feet with bent knees. This is a step not a jump. Torso turns about 45 deg acw.
& Bring L foot beside R calf with L leg bent. Torso leans forwards.
4 L back & immediate staccato R to lifted with R foot beside L knee whilst straightening up both supporting (L) knee & torso with torso returning to face the centre of the circle.
& Pause.
5-5& Pause.

Part B

Summary: Jump R staccato, L lift across infront, L to the side, R lift infront & to beside L knee, pause x 2. R in with L close lift, R back with L close lift, jump R in onto both feet staccato, L back with R close lift staccato, pause x 2.

Start Strongly upright. Facing the centre of the circle. R foot raised beside left knee.
1
1-2& As Part A bar 1 counts 3-4& (staccato jump to R with knees bent, pause, L lift across infront).
3-3& L to side bending knees. Torso returning to face the centre of the circle.
4-4& Smoothly R lift infront to leg straight & 45 deg below horizontal then flex R knee bringing R foot to besides L knees whilst straightening the L knee.
5-5& Pause.
2
1-2& As Part A bar 2 counts 3-4& but not staccato (R forwards turning 45 deg to L & bending knees, bring L foot up to beside R knee, L backwards returning to face the centre of the circle, R foot to beside L knee straightening up). Emphasise smoothness for contrast with the following version.
3 As Part A bar 1 count 1 (staccato jump R onto both feet with knees bent) but with R going forwards & turning 45 deg acw. Emphasise heavy staccato.
& Pause.
4 As Part A bar 2 count 4 (L backwards returning to face centre & immediate staccato R to lifted with R foot beside L knee). Actually as L foot was not raised, L backwards is almost in place.
5-5& Pause.

Part C

Summary: As Part A bar 1 but L lift becomes kick across infront R staccato. Mirror stance, R to beside L knee, as 2nd half of Part B.

Start Strongly upright. Facing the centre of the circle. R foot raised beside left knee.
1
1-3& As Part A bar 1 counts 1-3& (jump R staccato, L across infront, jump R staccato).
4-& Kick L leg across infront turning 45 deg cw ending with the L leg straight & raised about 45 deg & facing 45 acw of the direction to the centre of the circle. Supporting leg straightens in this. The kick is by raising the upper leg then straightening the knee.
& Pause.
5-5& Pause.
2
1 Switch to mirrored stance (facing 45 deg cw of the direction to the centre of the circle with L leg straight raised across infront). The transition is a very quick staccato step, turn & kick (kick in same style as previous).
& Pause.
2 Swing R leg to end raised beside L knee whilst turning to face the centre of the circle.
& Pause.
3-4& As Part B bar 2 counts 3-4& (jump R in onto both feet staccato, R back with L close lift staccato).
5-5& Pause.

Ending

Summary: Ends at end of a Part B. Jump to both feet apart staccato.

The music comes to an end at the end of Part B. Change the last step of that Part B into a staccato jump onto both feet with feet apart & rigidly upright (the same as the the pose at the start of the dance.
